The Franz Family

On Sunday I met up with a past bride and groom of mine, Marie & Stephen, and her family out at Wolcott Mills for some family photos. You will be able to tell who was the easiest to photograph, that would be Christoper. He was full of smiles from the time he got there until he left. We got some good pictures and had fun doing it. It doesn’t get any better than that. Enjoy!

The Miracle of Baptism | Lily Marie and Jack Murray – August 21, 2011

On Sunday, August 21, 2011, we celebrated the baptism of our Lily Marie and Jack Murray Shields, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. Then it was off to Jim and Jen’s house for a little celebrating and spending time with family. We don’t often get to see my Dad and his wife Gail as well as my sister who lives in Ingersoll, Ontario, so it was nice to see them once again. It seems this is the year we may see them more than we usually do as they have come over for baby showers, births and next month, a family wedding. I think it would be easier if they just moved here but I don’t think that’s going to happen. This was also our Jessica’s big birthday. She gets to share her birthday with her God-daughter Lily Marie’s baptism as well as her Aunt Diane and Uncle Curt’s wedding anniversary. Here are just a few pictures from the day.

Princess Norah Grace | 3 1/2 Years Old

Boy does time seem to fly these days. It almost feels like I just posted pictures of the birth of our first Princess and now she is 3 1/2 years old and we have another two Princess’s in the family. I’m not sure I will have much more time for weddings now that I have all these children to photograph, just kidding, I actually need to do more to afford the Christmas presents, LOL. But boy do Deb and I love it. Yes it is a lot of work, but oh so worth every minute. Each time they are in the studio is another chance to see them all, and spending time with our family is one of the most important parts of our lives. Deb and I are so blessed to have wonderful children, and they all live close to us so there’s not hopping on airplanes to go visit them. That is something that is very rare these days. We are so proud of all of our kids and their accomplishments. God is good!

Enjoy our little Princess Norah Grace, we sure do!

Elyse Faith Shields | 9 days old

Here is Princess Elyse’s first official studio shoot of her life. I’m sure she will get used to them like her sister Princess Norah did. Although I usually only get about one or two pictures of Norah before she wants to see them so it takes a little longer but that’s just a way for us to keep her here longer, LOL. This was a much shorter photo shoot that it was with Lily and Jack but I think that’s just because it wasn’t twins.

We saw Elyse again last night and all are doing well. Tomorrow is the baptism of our Princess Lily and Prince Jack, which is Elys’s cousins, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, so we will all be together again. I love it when a plan comes together. Watch for pictures of that event as well right here. Next up is Princess Norah’s 3 1/2 year photos. Enjoy!

Elyse Faith Shields | another Princess in the family

Well I suppose you can tell I’m running a bit behind since our newest Princess, Elyse Faith, was born on 08.08.11, 5:03AM, weighing in at 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long, and I’m just now getting around to posting pictures here for people to see. So I’m 12 days late with this one, but who’s counting. John and Lauri are doing well and getting accustomed to less sleep once again, if there is such a thing of getting used to that, and Norah is loving having her little sister that she wanted. It is getting a little crowded when we all get together these days but boy do we love it. Deb and I went from having two grandchildren to having five within a month. Woo…hooo!  My next post will be of Elyse’s photo shoot in the studio when she was 8 days old. Hold on folks, I’m starting to get caught up and I’m on a roll. Enjoy our little Elyse, we sure do!
